The NALSC Law Firm Advisory Committee was established to provide insights, guidance, and industry expertise to help NALSC grow and stay ahead in the legal recruiting world. Its role is to advise and provide input to NALSC to assist in shaping strategy, industry positioning, and guiding member engagement and programming.

The Committee is comprised of up to ten legal industry professionals, business leaders, and other experts from our supporting law firms who are highly engaged with NALSC and excited to share ideas and provide strategic advice. They represent a mix of law firm sizes from boutiques to BigLaw, encompass various formats such as distributed/virtual law firm models alongside traditional law firms, and hail from different regions to capture market trends in various locations. The members also have a range of expertise from firm leadership to law firm recruiting professionals, including focuses on associate recruiting, partner recruiting, and onboarding and integration.

In the coming year, the Law Firm Advisory Committee will partner with NALSC’s Belonging & Inclusion Committee; recommend speakers and topics of interest to members; work with member search firms to develop better opportunities in other legal profession organizations (e.g., NALP); and advise on NALSC policy and other matters requested by the NALSC Board. Projects for 2026 include: developing and hosting an “Ask the Law Firms” virtual program for NALSC Members, led by Advisory Committee members; authoring an article for the NALSC semi-annual newsletter, and developing recommendations for topics and speakers for law-firms-only sessions at future NALSC Conferences and events.
